When we think of a new home, we imagine modern, clean, safe environments. Freshly painted walls, new furniture, energy-efficient fixtures. Everything seems synonymous with quality and safety.

Increasingly sealed buildings

Modern homes are designed to be highly energy efficient.
Airtight windows, thermal insulation, advanced insulation: all perfect for saving energy. But the same structure that retains heat also retains pollutants. A new home also means fresh paint and varnish, adhesives, parquet and laminate flooring, newly purchased furniture, and synthetic fabrics.

Many of these materials release VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) such as formaldehyde and other chemicals over time. Symptoms can include headaches, eye irritation, respiratory problems, and persistent fatigue. We all pay the price. Those most vulnerable to the effects of air pollution are children, pregnant women, the elderly, people with allergies or asthma, and those who work long hours from home. Considering that we spend up to 90% of our time indoors, breathing healthy air is not a minor detail: it is a determining factor for long-term health.
